Explain the importance of Histology, include your reasoning for why we need to learn what is the difference between normal histology and pathological histology?

This is a new unit of study. We will be spending much of our remaining 1st semester working with Histology. The following powerpoints will cover the following Epithelial, connective, muscles, cartilage, and blood/lymph. Along with your handout you will need to prepare yourselves to be able to recall these tissues.

An important technique to better view microscope slides is know as the “Kohler Illumination Technique” You will find this in your ‘link’ section of the webpage.

Research the ‘history of Kohler’ and then explain the steps in preparing your microscope for optimal illumination.
